Create and Save a Floor Plan or Drawing for the Situation Room in Triton Cloud.

The Situation Room in Triton Cloud gives you a visual, map-based view of your sensors, letting you see device status and alerts overlaid on your actual building layout. What is the Situation Room?

The Situation Room is a feature in Triton Cloud that lets you place your sensors on a floor plan so you can visually monitor their status and respond to alerts with location context. This is especially useful for schools, hospitals, and other multi-room facilities where knowing exactly which sensor triggered an alert matters.

How do I create a new floor plan?

  1. Log in to Triton Cloud and click Situation Room in the navigation menu.
  2. Click the plus (+) button to create a new floor.
  3. Enter a name for the floor (e.g., "1st Floor," "Building A – 2nd Floor").
  4. Click Create.

Can I upload an existing floor plan or do I have to draw one?

You have two options:

  • Upload a file: Click Choose File and select an image of your floor plan (e.g., a PNG, JPG, or PDF export from your building plans).
  • Draw it: Click Draw to open the built-in drawing tool. Use the toolbar to sketch out your layout directly in the browser. You can also click the picture button inside the drawing tool to upload a floor plan image as a background to draw on top of.

Once you're finished with either option, click Confirm, then click Save.

How do I place sensors on the floor plan?

  1. Back on the Situation Room page, click the vertical ellipsis menu (⋮) next to the floor you just created.
  2. Click Edit Plan.
  3. Click and drag your sensors from the sidebar to their correct locations on the floor plan.
  4. Click Save.

Your sensors are now placed and will show live status on the map.

What if I have multiple floors?

Repeat the process for each floor. Click the plus (+) button again to add another floor, name it, upload or draw the layout, and place the sensors for that floor. Each floor is managed separately.
