Step-by-Step Integration Highlights

1. DW Spectrum Server Setup

  • Create a User Account: Set up a dedicated user in DW Spectrum that the sensor will use to authenticate.

  • Enable Digest Authentication: Ensure "Allow digest authentication" is enabled for this user profile.

2. Triton ULTRA Web UI Configuration

Navigate to Platform Integration > HTTP Settings and enter the following:

  • Enable HTTP: Toggle to ON.

  • Server URL: http://<SERVER_IP>:7001/api/createEvent?source=%NAME%&caption=%EID@TRIGGERNAME%&description=%NAME%.

    • Replace <SERVER_IP> with your actual DW Spectrum server address.

  • Method: Select POST.

  • Auth Method: Select Basic Auth.

  • Credentials: Enter the Username and Password created in DW Spectrum.

3. Action Rules in DW Spectrum

  • Event Type: Choose Generic Event.

  • Source/Description: Filter by the sensor name or event type (e.g., "Vape") to trigger specific actions.

  • Action: Choose Show Desktop Notification, Start Recording, or Open Layout to respond to the alert.

Pro-Tip:

DW Spectrum’s Generic Event is case-sensitive. If your alerts aren't appearing, double-check that the "Source" name in the VMS rule perfectly matches the "Device Name" in the Triton sensor's settings.
