Step-by-Step Integration Highlights
1. Hanwha WAVE Server Preparation
-
Create a Dedicated User: Log in to the WAVE Client, navigate to System Administration, and select Users.
-
Enable Digest Authentication: Create a local user (e.g., "triton_api") and click the three dots next to the Enable toggle to select "Allow digest authentication for this user".
-
User Role: Assign the Advanced Viewer or Power User role to this account to ensure it has the necessary permissions to generate events.
2. Triton ULTRA Configuration (Local Web UI)
Navigate to Platform Integration > HTTP Settings on your sensor. Note: Hanwha WAVE does not support TCP for this integration; use HTTP only.
-
Server URL:
http://<WAVE_Server_IP>:7001/api/createEvent?source=%NAME%&caption=%EID@TRIGGERNAME%.-
Replace
<WAVE_Server_IP>with your actual server IP.

Auth Method: Select Basic Auth (WAVE requires this for digest-enabled local users) and enter the credentials created in Step 1.
-
Action Settings: In the sensor interface, check the HTTP Set box for every detection event you wish to monitor (Vape, Tamper, Aggression, etc.).
3. Setting Up Event Rules in WAVE
-
Create Generic Event: In the WAVE Client, go to System Administration > Event Rules and click + Add.
-
Match Logic: Under "When", select Generic Event. In the "Source Contains" field, enter the specific keywords used in your Triton configuration, such as
(vape),(Tamper), or(Aggression). -
Define Action: Under "Do", select your response, such as Show Notification, Start Recording, or Bookmark.
