How To Add Sirens to Alerts with Triton ULTRA
Triton ULTRA has a built-in speaker that can play an audible alert — such as a siren, tone, or custom audio message — whenever a specific event is detected. This serves as an immediate deterrent and lets anyone nearby know that the sensor has been triggered. Speaker/siren configuration is done through the sensor's local (on-prem) web interface. How do I add a siren or audio alert to an event?
- Log in to the sensor's local web interface by navigating to the device's IP address in a web browser.
- Enter the device credentials and click Sign in. Default credentials are:
- Username: admin
- Password: Triton0520! (or 111111)
- Click Actions in the navigation menu.
- Click Action Settings.
- Find the event you want to add a siren to (e.g., Vape, Aggression, Tamper) and click the dropdown under the Sound/Speaker column for that event.
- Choose your preferred audio file from the list. The sensor comes with several built-in options.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each additional event type you want to trigger a siren.
Can I use a custom audio file instead of the built-in sounds?
Yes. You can upload your own audio files to the sensor — for example, a recorded voice message like "Vaping has been detected in this area. Please stop immediately." Custom audio files are uploaded under the Resource section of the sensor's local interface. Once uploaded, they'll appear in the Sound/Speaker dropdown alongside the built-in options.
Can I use different sounds for different events?
Yes. Each event type has its own speaker setting, so you can assign a different audio file to each one. For example, you could use a short tone for tamper alerts and a voice announcement for vape detection.
