Eagle Eye Networks VMS - Triton Cloud Integration

This guide walks through how to connect your Triton sensors to Eagle Eye Networks through Triton Cloud, so that sensor events automatically trigger alerts and video bookmarks in your Eagle Eye VMS. For a visual step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots, follow the Scribe guide linked below.

What does this integration do?

When a Triton sensor detects an event (like vaping), the integration sends that alert to Eagle Eye Networks and bookmarks the corresponding camera footage. This lets security teams quickly pull up video from the exact moment and location of an incident — without having to manually scrub through recordings.

Which alert types are supported?

The Eagle Eye integration currently supports the following event types: Vape, People Count, Gunshot Detection (GSD), Motion, and Loitering.

Note on Motion: To use Motion as a trigger, it must first be enabled on the Triton device's local interface. Log in to the sensor via its IP address, go to Actions → Action Settings, and check the box for MQTT under Motion.

What do I need before starting?

  • A Triton Cloud account with your sensors already added
  • An Eagle Eye Networks account with cameras configured
  • The Eagle Eye Account Number and Camera ESN(s) for the cameras you want to pair with your Triton sensors

Step 1: Authenticate with Eagle Eye

  1. Log in to Triton Cloud and navigate to the Eagle Eye integration pane.
  2. Click Login to Eagle Eye.
  3. Enter your Eagle Eye Networks email and password, then click Sign In.
  4. Confirm you see the message "You are logged in!" before continuing.

Step 2: Get your Eagle Eye Account Number

  1. Switch to the Eagle Eye Networks tab in your browser.
  2. Click Help Center in Eagle Eye.
  3. Your Account Number is displayed in the top right — copy it.
  4. Switch back to Triton Cloud and paste the Account Number into the Account ID field.

Step 3: Get the Camera ESN (Camera ID)

  1. Back in Eagle Eye, click Switch to Enhanced Interface.
  2. Click on the camera you want to integrate with a Triton sensor.
  3. Click Settings on that camera.
  4. Copy the ESN (this is the camera's unique identifier).
  5. Switch back to Triton Cloud and paste the ESN into the Camera ID field next to the corresponding Triton Device ID.
  6. Repeat for any additional camera/sensor pairs, then click Save.

Step 4: Activate Alert Types

  1. Still on the Eagle Eye integration page in Triton Cloud, select which event types you want the integration to trigger (Vape, People Count, GSD, Motion, Loitering).
  2. Click Save.

Step 5: Run a Test

  1. Click Run Test on the integration page.
  2. Select a Device and a trigger type (e.g., Vape) from the dropdowns.
  3. Click Run Test.

Step 6: Verify in Eagle Eye

  1. Switch to Eagle Eye Networks and open the History Browser (click the history/clock icon).
  2. Confirm the test alert appears in the event timeline for the associated camera. If it does, the integration is working correctly.
