How to Navigate Between Sites and an Organization
Triton Cloud uses a parent/child account structure — Organizations (parent) and Sites (children). This guide explains how the two levels work and how to switch between them. For a visual step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots, follow the Scribe guide linked below.

What's the difference between a Site and an Organization?
Triton Cloud has two levels of accounts:
- Site (Child Account) — This is where devices are registered. Each site typically represents a single building or location (e.g., "Main Campus," "Elementary School," "Hospital – East Wing"). You can only register devices at the site level.
- Organization (Parent Account) — This aggregates all data from your child sites into a single view. It lets you see every device across all of your sites in one place. Devices registered to individual sites will automatically appear under the organization.
This structure is especially useful for school districts, multi-building campuses, or organizations with sensors deployed across multiple locations.
How do I switch between sites and the organization?
- Log in to Triton Cloud.
- Click your name in the top-right corner of the page.
- Click the dropdown menu that appears — this will show you the full organization structure, including the parent organization and all child sites.
- Select the site you want to view, or select the organization to see all devices across all sites.
When viewing at the organization level, you'll see all devices from all sites combined into a single list.
Where do I register new devices — at the site or organization level?
Devices can only be registered to a site. You cannot add a device directly at the organization level. However, once a device is registered to a site, it will automatically appear in the organization view as well.
Can I have users that only see certain sites?
Yes. User permissions can be scoped to specific sites, so a building manager at one school doesn't need to see devices at a different school. Your Triton Cloud account is set up with this structure during onboarding.
