How To Reset The Password on Triton ULTRA
If you've forgotten the admin password on your Triton ULTRA sensor, you can reset it using the Triton Device Manager — no factory reset required. What are the default passwords?
Triton ULTRA sensors ship with one of two default passwords depending on when they were manufactured:
- Triton0520!
- 111111
If you haven't changed the password, try both of these first before proceeding with a reset.
What do I need?
- The Triton Device Manager installed on a computer that's on the same network as the sensor. Download the latest version here: Triton Device Manager Download
- The computer must be on the same subnet as the sensor for the Device Manager to discover it.
How do I reset the password?
- Download and launch the Triton Device Manager.
- Under Device Management, click Auto Scan to discover sensors on your network.
- Right-click on the row of the sensor you need to reset.
- Click "Modifying device auth".
- In the Edit Auth Info dialog, enter the following:
- Auth User: viewer
- Auth Pass: 111111
- Device User: admin
- Device Pass: Enter your new password (we recommend Triton0520!)
- Click Confirm.
How do I verify the reset worked?
- Open a browser and navigate to the sensor's IP address. Log in with the username admin and the new password you just set. If the login succeeds, the password reset was successful.
What if this method doesn't work?
If the viewer account password has also been changed, or if the Device Manager can't connect to the sensor, you may need to perform a hard/factory reset instead.
