Step-by-Step Integration Highlights
1. Triton ULTRA Configuration (Local Web UI)
-
Assign Unique Name: Configure the Device Name and Location fields with values unique to your network.
-
TCP Message Setup: Navigate to Platform Integration > TCP Settings.
-
Set String: Enter
triton.%EID@TRIGGER%. -
Reset String: Enable this and enter
triton.reset.
-
-
Action Settings: Enable the TCP Set checkbox for every event you wish to forward to Milestone.
2. Milestone Management Client Setup
-
Hardware Addition: Use the Manual add menu to add the Triton ULTRA as an ONVIF conformant device.
-
Port: Use
18888. -
Credentials: Use the device's admin login.
-
-
Licensing Requirement: Please note that a Milestone device license is required for each Triton sensor added to the system to ensure full functionality.
-
Define Generic Events: Under Rules and Events, create a new Generic Event with an expression that matches your TCP string (e.g.,
triton.Vapeortriton.THC). -
Alarm Definitions: Create a new alarm and set the Trigger to your specific User Defined Event.
3. Milestone Smart Client (The Matrix View)
-
Matrix Configuration: Add a new Matrix in the Management Client using the default port 1234.
-
Smart Client View: In the Smart Client Setup mode, create a 2x1 layout and drag the Triton ULTRA stream into one cell and the Matrix component into the other. This allows video from associated cameras to automatically "pop up" next to the sensor data when an alarm triggers.
