OpenEye Web Services - Triton Cloud Integration

This guide walks through how to integrate Triton sensors with OpenEye Web Services (OWS) through Triton Cloud. OpenEye has a native Triton Sensor integration type built into the OWS console, making setup straightforward. Once configured, Triton sensor events trigger environmental alerts in OpenEye that can be tied to specific cameras for instant video verification. What does this integration do?

When a Triton sensor detects an event (like vaping, aggression, or a gunshot), Triton Cloud sends that alert to OpenEye Web Services. You can map each Triton sensor to a specific camera in OWS, so when an alert fires, operators can immediately pull up the associated video feed. You can also create alert rules in OWS to define how the system responds to each Triton event type.

What do I need before starting?
  • A Triton Cloud account with your sensors already added
  • An OpenEye Web Services account with cameras configured
  • Admin access to the OpenEye Console (Management > Integrations)

Part 1: Set Up the Integration in OpenEye

  1. In the OpenEye Console, navigate to Management → Integrations.
  2. Click Add New Integration.
  3. Select Triton Sensor as the integration type.
  4. Click Next.

Part 2: Generate API Keys in OpenEye

  1. Click API Access Keys.
  2. Click Add Key.
  3. Enter a key name (e.g., "Triton Key").
  4. Copy the Secret Key — save this somewhere safe, as it cannot be retrieved later.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Also copy the Access Key from the Manage Integrations page — you'll need both keys for the next step.

Part 3: Connect Triton Cloud to OpenEye

  1. Log in to Triton Cloud and navigate to the OpenEye integration page.
  2. Paste the Secret Key into the Secret Key field.
  3. Paste the Access Key into the Access Key field.
  4. Click Save.

Part 4: Test the Connection

  1. On the OpenEye integration page in Triton Cloud, click Run Test.
  2. Select a device from the dropdown.
  3. Select a trigger type (e.g., Vape).
  4. Click Run Test and confirm the test completes successfully.

Part 5: Map Sensors to Cameras in OpenEye

  1. Back in the OpenEye Console, go to the Triton integration and click Sensors / Camera Mapping.
  2. Select the sensor ID for the Triton device you want to map.
  3. Click Add Camera.
  4. Click the + button next to the camera you want to associate with that sensor, then click Select.
  5. Repeat for each additional sensor/camera pair.

Part 6: Create Alert Rules in OpenEye

After mapping sensors to cameras, set up alert rules so OWS knows how to respond to Triton events:

  1. In the OpenEye Console, click Rules → Alert Rules.
  2. Click New Alert Rule.
  3. Select Environmental as the rule type and click Next.
  4. Enter a name for the rule and click Create.
  5. Select the Event Group and Event Type from the dropdowns to match the Triton event you want to trigger this rule (e.g., Environmental > Vape Detected).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Sensors from the left menu within the rule.
  8. Click Add Sensor and select the Triton sensor this rule should apply to.

Repeat for each event type you want to monitor (vape, aggression, etc.).
