Slack Integration Guide Link

Step-by-Step Integration Highlights

1. Slack Workspace Preparation

  • Create a Channel: Create a new public or private channel in Slack (e.g., #triton-alerts) where you want the notifications to appear.

  • Install Incoming Webhooks: Search for and install the "Incoming Webhooks" app from the Slack App Directory.

  • Configure Webhook: * Select your new alert channel in the app settings.

    • Click Add Incoming Webhooks Integration.

    • Copy the Webhook URL provided; this is required for the Triton Cloud dashboard.

2. Triton Cloud Configuration

  • Access Settings: Log in to Triton Cloud and navigate to the Settings or Integrations tab.

  • Setup Webhook: * Paste the copied Slack Webhook URL into the designated field.

    • Select which sensor events (Vape, Tamper, Aggression, etc.) should trigger a Slack message.

  • Enable the Link: Ensure the toggle for the Slack integration is set to ON.

3. Testing and Verification

  • Run Test: Use the test feature in the Triton dashboard to send a sample alert.

  • Confirm in Slack: Check your Slack channel to verify that the test message appeared with the correct sensor data and timestamp.

Pro-Tip for HubSpot:

💬 Channel Organization: If you have a large facility, consider creating separate Slack channels for different wings or buildings (e.g., #alerts-highschool-west and #alerts-highschool-east). You can then map specific Triton sensors to their corresponding Slack Webhooks to ensure only the relevant staff members are notified for each area.
