Triton ULTRA Feature Set Explanation
Triton ULTRA is our most advanced sensor, combining environmental monitoring with AI-driven audio analytics and high-precision radar technology. Below is a brief explanation of all the major features of the sensor. Everything is included within one single device, there are no separate modules to enable any features.
Advanced Detection & Safety
-
Vape Detection: Detects nicotine and THC (dab pens) vapes. Alerts are unified and do not differentiate the specific substance.
-
THC Detection: Specifically tuned to identify organic THC substances, such as blunts or joints.
-
Masking Detection: Identifies sudden spikes in aerosols (deodorant, body spray, air fresheners) often used to hide prohibited substances.
-
Tamper Detection: Uses an internal accelerometer to trigger an alert if the device is physically handled or removed from the ceiling.
-
Aggression Detection: Monitors for sustained loud noise (default: 7+ seconds above a specific dB threshold) indicating fights or vandalism.
-
Sound Level: Triggers an immediate alert if noise levels exceed a set decibel threshold, regardless of duration.
-
Keyword Assist: A verbal panic button (like Alexa/Siri) for customizable phrases like "Help Me." Setup Guide here. Triton Cloud exclusive.
Radar/Occupancy Intelligence
-
People Count: Uses high-precision radar to count individuals in a room (standard effective area of 13’x13’ depending on ceiling height).
-
Loitering Detection: Uses radar to alert if an individual remains in an area longer than a set time (default: 8 minutes) to identify class cutting or medical incidents
-
CrowdCount (Occupancy): Detects active cell phones to estimate crowd size in large areas like gyms or cafeterias where radar may be limited.
-
Cell Phone Detection: Specifically alerts to the presence of a cell phone (2m default radius) for phone-free zones.
AI Audio Classification
-
Overview: Off by default (Enable in Device Settings → Config). Requires noise reduction; and turns off keyword detection.
-
Categories: The AI constantly analyzes audio and provides a probability percentage for five categories:
-
GSD: Audio-based gunshot detection.
-
Advanced Aggression: Detects specific vocal patterns like screams and shouts.
-
-
-
Glass Break: Identifies the unique frequency of shattering glass.
-
-
-
Coughing: Monitors for health trends or illness outbreaks.
-
Loud Burst: Acts as a secondary assist for GSD, specifically for large-caliber firearms.
-
Environmental & Air Quality
-
AQI (Air Quality Index): A comprehensive score calculated using PM 2.5, PM 10, CO, and NO2 levels.
-
Health Index: A specialized metric evaluating overall wellness based on PM 1.0, PM 2.5, PM 10, Temperature, Humidity, and TVOCs.
-
TVOC: Measures Total Volatile Organic Compounds to detect chemical vapors from cleaners or industrial materials.
-
PM 1.0 / 2.5 / 10: Monitors varying sizes of particulate matter, from fine combustion particles to larger dust and pollen.
-
CO & CO2: Tracks Carbon Monoxide (safety) and Carbon Dioxide (ventilation) levels.
-
NO2: Detects Nitrogen Dioxide, a common byproduct of fuel combustion and traffic exhaust.
-
HCHO (Formaldehyde): Detects colorless, strong-smelling gases commonly found in building materials and furniture.
-
ETOH: Monitors ethanol levels to detect alcohol-based spills or consumption.
-
Temperature & Humidity: Real-time tracking of ambient climate.
-
Humidex: A "feels like" calculation combining temperature and humidity to measure human discomfort.
Interactive Hardware & Motion
-
Motion Detection: Tracks physical movement in the room. Note: For Cloud customers, enable "MQTT" under Actions → Action Settings to receive these alerts (disabled by default to prevent alert fatigue).
-
RGB Light Ring: A built-in light that can flash, strobe, or "chase" in various colors to provide visual alerts for specific events (e.g., flashing red for tampering).
-
Built-in Speaker: Plays pre-recorded messages or custom uploaded audio to act as a deterrent or to provide instructions during an emergency.
Hardware Installation
-
PoE Daisy Chain / Passthrough: Features PoE-In and PoE-Out ports. You can daisy chain up to 5 sensors on a PoE+ line (or 2 on a 15W PoE line). Each sensor includes a mini-injector, retains its own unique IP address, and functions independently.
