DW Cloud - Triton Cloud Integration

This guide walks through how to integrate Triton Cloud with Digital Watchdog DW Spectrum using DW Cloud Sync. Once configured, Triton sensor events are sent directly into the DW Spectrum VMS, enabling real-time monitoring of Triton alerts alongside your camera feeds. Please note that DW Cloud Sync is required for this integration. For a visual step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots, follow the Scribe guide linked below.

What does this integration do?

When a Triton sensor detects an event (like vaping, aggression, or a gunshot), Triton Cloud sends that event to your DW Spectrum system through DW Cloud. This allows security operators to see Triton alerts as bookmarked events tied to specific cameras inside the DW interface — connecting sensor intelligence with video evidence in one platform.

What do I need before starting?
  • DW Spectrum — installed and licensed
  • DW Cloud Sync enabled and your system connected to dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com
  • A DW Cloud account with access to your system on the DW Spectrum portal
  • A Triton Cloud account with your sensors already added
  • The Camera ID(s) from DW Cloud for the cameras you want to pair with your Triton sensors

Tip: We recommend creating a dedicated user in your DW system specifically for this integration.

Step 1: Get Your Cloud System ID from DW Cloud

  1. Open your DW Spectrum Client and navigate to System Administration.
  2. Select DW Cloud and click Connect Site to DW Cloud — you'll be redirected to dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com.
  3. Select the server your DW system is connected to.
  4. Copy the ID from the URL — it's the string that appears after /systems/ in the address bar. This is your Cloud System ID.

Step 2: Authenticate Triton Cloud with DW Cloud

  1. In Triton Cloud, navigate to the DW Cloud integration page (or go directly to app.tritonsensors.com/client/integration?current=dw_cloud).
  2. Paste the Cloud System ID you copied from the DW Cloud URL.
  3. Enter the username you use to log in to dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com.
  4. Enter the password for that account.
  5. Click Authenticate / Update Credentials.
  6. Confirm you see the message "Integration Authenticated Successfully" at the bottom right of the page.

Step 3: Get Camera IDs and Map Them to Triton Sensors

  1. Go back to your server on dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com and click Cameras.
  2. Click on the camera you want to associate with a Triton sensor.
  3. Copy the Camera ID from the URL or the camera details page.
  4. Back in Triton Cloud on the DW Cloud integration page, paste the Camera ID into the Camera ID field next to the corresponding Triton Device ID.
  5. Repeat for any additional camera/sensor pairs.
  6. Click Save.

Step 4: Run a Test

  1. Click Run Test on the integration page.
  2. Select a device that has a Camera ID associated with it.
  3. Choose a trigger type from the dropdown.
  4. Click Run Test.
  5. Confirm the test runs successfully. If it doesn't, troubleshoot based on the error message shown.
