Step-by-Step Integration Highlights
1. Prerequisite
-
Compatibility: This integration is supported on VideoInsight 7.x and 8.x.
2. Triton ULTRA HTTP Configuration
Navigate to Platform Integration > HTTP Settings on the sensor web interface and enter the following:
-
Enable HTTP: Toggle to ON.
-
Server URL: Enter the VideoInsight API endpoint for external events (e.g.,
http://<SERVER_IP>:<PORT>/axis-cgi/admin/externalevent.cgi?text=%EID@TRIGGERNAME%). -
Method: Select POST.
-
Auth Method: Typically set to Basic Auth using your VMS administrator credentials.
3. VideoInsight Rules and Alarms
-
Rule Manager: Use VideoInsight's Rules Manager to customize responses based on environmental factors like noise anomalies or chemical spikes.
-
Active Guard Sync: Use i-PRO Active Guard to register third-party app events, allowing you to search alarm history and view events directly in the camera pane.
-
Action Selection: Within the sensor's Action Settings, check the HTTP Set box for every detection event (e.g., Vape, Aggression, Gunshot) you wish to forward to the VMS.
Pro-Tip:
For a "Single Pane of Glass" experience, link your Triton sensors to nearby cameras within the Rules Manager. This ensures that when a sensor detects vaping or a keyword, VideoInsight automatically displays the closest camera feed, providing instant visual context for the incident.
